Al Pacino Actor Biography

Alfredo James Pacino was born on April 25, 1940, to Salvatore Pacino and Rose. Nicknamed Al Pacino, his parents split up when the young Al was only 2 years old. His mum moved in with his grandparents in the South Bronx, a tough urban borough of New York City. This lead to a tough life while growing up but prepared him well for the role that he would later go on to play in the Godfather. Intelligent but never motivated by school work, the actor found comfort and fulfillment in acting. According to the man himself, Al Pacino's acting career began at a very early age. He would often stay at home, and while he was home he found himself repeating the roles from the movies he saw with his mother. Of course, now he has a much larger audience applauding his performances. Those days are long gone when he used to act at home and now he is one of the most mature and attractive superstars of Hollywood.

  1. I admire Al Pacino because I think he learns from his own life and brings this in his work as an actor. In a way he does method acting by studying his own personality and Italian background. He fit so well in the role he played in Godfather and other gangster movies.
