Youngsters are feeling suffocated due to political hatred, leading to severe chronic depression, and no film brings this situation forth more clearly than Three Rooms Of Melancholia. According to the movie's Finnish director Pirjo Honkasalo, despite having a poetic tone he sees 3 Rooms of Melancholia more as a political film because the characters and settings are very politically defined.
